What I Do

Ligipääsuke

I co-founded Ligipääsuke (opens in new tab), Estonia's leading accessibility consultancy. We work across digital and physical accessibility — website and app audits against WCAG and EN 301 549, physical space and architecture assessments, accessible experiences and services, accessible video and audio content production, team training on inclusive design, and helping organisations meet the European Accessibility Act. Our clients include Swedbank, Tallinn Airport, LHV, Elisa, the National Library, and Estonia's national exam system. I've been doing accessibility work since 2010 — Ligipääsuke is 15 years of expertise in one shop, and the only CPWA-certified consultancy in Estonia.

Estonian Blind Union

I chair the Estonian Blind Union (Eesti Pimedate Liit), representing roughly 1,500 blind and partially sighted people in Estonia. The work ranges from policy advocacy in parliament to practical support — making sure blind Estonians aren't left behind as the country digitises everything from banking to public transport.

European Blind Union

At the European level, I sit on the board of the European Blind Union and chair its Accessibility Working Group. Much of this work currently focuses on the European Accessibility Act — making sure it actually delivers accessible products and services rather than driving companies to pull features from the European market. I also lead EBU's work on accessible payment terminals, because not knowing how much you pay before you pay in 2026 is absurd.

Huvitaja

I host Huvitaja (opens in new tab), a weekly technology show on Vikerraadio (Estonian Public Broadcasting). Every Friday from 10 to 11, I break down the week's tech news for a general audience — the kind of people who use technology every day but don't read Hacker News.

Beyond Work

When I'm not auditing websites or arguing about button contrast ratios, I make sounds. Field recording, sound design, and music — mostly ambient and electronic. I've always been drawn to how sound builds space and atmosphere. A forest sounds different from a city, and both sound different at 3am.

I'm also the kind of person who builds an accessible real-time space mission tracker at midnight because I wanted to know where a spacecraft was. That project — the Artemis II tracker — is live at artemis.jakobrosin.com (opens in new tab).
